The Nova Kanu Raid is a fanonical Racing Truck created by JustAlex93 appearing in MotorStorm: Return to the Wild.

The Kanu Raid is visually similar to the first generation Kanu SUV, but underneath the carbon-kevlar body made to resemble the latter is all custom.

It features a custom-designed tube-frame chassis built by the German Extrem Terrain team, and the carbon-kevlar body panels are bolted on for easy removal and replacement and access to the drivetrain.

The powerplant is a 2.9 litre twin turbo Inline-6 turbodiesel engine with two-stage turbos built to FIA factory specs.

Of course, the Kanu Raid is 4WD, with a six-speed sequential gearbox sending power to all the wheels via a triple-plate racing clutch, a Radek center diff, and Ztrak front and rear diffs.

The vehicle also features water-cooled brakes, a fire suppression system, a 111-gallon fuel tank, a custom carbon dashboard with two digital displays, an electronically-heated windshield, and air conditioning, too.

It was built for rally raid competitions, and secured numerous wins and became a very popular customer car. It had also secured several FIA World Cup titles for Extrem Terrain, won in the 2011 Silk Way Rally and finishing in 4th place at two Dakar rallies.

It would be succeeded by the Kanu Raid Zwei, which Extrem Terrain had no involvement in, since they had moved on to Monarch-based racing vehicles that they would build in collaboration with Jack Hooper Works after 2011.

• It is visually inspired by the BMW X3 Cross Country, but with the grille of the 2006 Porsche Cayenne, the fenders of the 2009 Porsche Panamera, taillights of the Jeep Cherokee SRT8, and the headlights of the BMW X6.
